Survival kit for high altitude 7 years, 2 months ago #532

What should I include in my survival kit for high altitude? - this is in conjunction with what maddy had asked recently, about essentials to be carried on summit day.. just remembered one of my friends asking me about this. So i thought this forum would be good to get answers..

A high altitude survival kit should include,
Supplies- adequate food and lot of water
Clothes- proper climbing clothes and an extra pair in case of illness, injury or emergency. mittens, warm gloves, socks, hat and fleece are a must
Map - Never venture out for an expedition without a map.
Compass- this is important to read the map.
Torch- your wariior to evade darkness
Waterproof Matches -- cannot rely on normal matches in damp and snow laden areas, so these are a must
Pen knife for multiple purposes
Whistle - to attract attention in case of emergency
Survival Bag - a person-size bags for a trapped or injured person to climb inside and stay safe and warm.
do not forget any of these! stay safe!
