" But risks must be taken because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing. The person who risks nothing, does nothing, has nothing, is nothing. He may avoid suffering and sorrow, but he cannot learn, feel, change, grow or live. Chained by his servitude he is a slave who has forfeited all freedom. Only a person who risks is free. The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; and the realist adjusts the sails." - William Arthur Ward

Please find below the link to the blog of my recent expedition. It did teach me a few things about myself!

Hope you all like it.

Thanks for the nice write-up; will read it carefully over the weekend to do it full justice.

A quick response:
I wouldn't call it a failed expedition though. In my view, unless you are a professional climber setting a speed record or a first ascent (or climbing with someone else's money), a successful climb is one where you enjoy the route, and come back with no injuries and only great pictures and memories and valuable experience, and by those measures you seem to have had an extremely successful climb! Congrats!
